Apple Pizza

We use Granny Smith apples for this recipe because they’re sturdy and tart and they’re our mom’s favorite too. You should use whichever apple variety is your favorite, though. For whatever reason. Serve this sweet pizza all year long – in summer with a scoop of melty ice cream and right on through the winter with a mug of hot cider. As the seasons change, substitute cayenne pepper, nutmeg, Chinese 5-Spice, or pumpkin pie spice for the cinnamon we suggest. It's an obvious for dessert, and extra special treat for breakfast or brunch.
